Season 1

Still looking for something - or someone -, Kubera made his appearance in Atera, near the shop managed by Lorraine Rartia, and just before a couple of thieves stole a box that contained, among the other treasures, the Golden Knight. Leez Haias happened to assist at the event and ran after the thieves, unknowingly followed by Kubera in child form, who previously had a small talk with the girl.

Thanks to his powers, Kubera made the box so heavy the thieves couldn't take it much further outside the city, and they were forced to abandon the treasures when Kubera appeared before them in his adult form, scaring them away. Leez arrived shortly thereafter, and tried to take the Golden Knight to give it back to its rightful owner, not knowing he was right before her. She didn't recognize the adult Kubera, who challenged her into a race for the ownership of the bracelet. Leez lost the race, but right after she took the bracelet on her right arm, Suras appeared. Since she was panicking after having lost her inhuman strength, Kubera taught her how to use the bracelet, and was surprised in discovering that the girl may had the requirements to use the item to its fullest.

After dispatching the suras, Kubera took Leez inside Atera's barrier, and left her on the city's walls. After seeing an insight regarding Leez, he changed behavior abruptly and asked Leez if she wanted to live or die in that instant. Seeing that the girl was still too young to give a thoughtful reply, he left her to think about it, not before taking the childlike form again and warning her not to talk about him with others.

His second appearance was near Rindhallow, where he agreed with Gandharva to open a portal to the sura realm. However, he had also a secret agreement with Sagara and her underlings, allowing them to pass into the human realm and thus making Gandharva despair, since he couldn't pass through the portal if the Ananta clan was there.

Season 1 Prologue

(P) "Force, opportunity, promise" are the three themes for God Kubera.

Chapter 1: A Girl with a God's Name

(5) Maruna recalls a conversation with Kubera speculating that the Priestess of Fire of Atera has summoned the God of Fire to maintain the barrier of the city. Maruna concludes that it would be unwise to attack the city as neither he nor Gandharva are strong enough to defeat a god in the human realm, even if their target is likely going there.

Chapter 2: The Queen and the Bum

(5) Leez bring up that she'd be the carbon copy of Kubera if Agni is really the God of Fire that he claims to be. Agni then describes how she's the complete opposite of Kubera. He details how while Leez is expressive, Kubera is akin to a stoic mask and completely unfriendly. Agni notes that they do share the similarity of being stronger than most and how Kubera possessed such brute strength that he managed to tear through realms even after the Cataclysm. Kubera has since left the god realm for the human realm where no being has been able to find where he is or what he's doing.

Chapter 5: The Golden Knight

(1) Kubera, in kid form, taunts Leez to forget about the box containing Asha's gifts when he finds her staring blatantly at it, and calls her a shorty. Leez is surprised to find a tiny ankle-biting kid is calling her a shorty.

(2) Leez is angered and pretends to lift and shake Kubera so he'd beg for forgiveness like a child she thought he was. However, Kubera doesn't budge which baffles Leez as she can normally lift a grown person with one arm. She guesses his clothes to be magical. Leez doubles down and it gives her best. Instead, she is shaken from her struggle when Kubera pats her on the head. Leez smacks his hand away in embarrassment and lectures Kubera that it's inappropriate to do that to an adult. Kubera questions whether she is an adult. Flustered, Leez decides to run away. Kubera overhears a man and a woman scheming to steal Asha's present for the god-level item inside it. Kubera has choice whether to stay and thwart the thieves plan or to chase Leez. He decides to chase after Leez.

(3) Maruna is surprised to find Gandharva by himself after assuming he'd be with Kubera. He hasn't seen Kubera for some time and asks Gandharva where he could possibly be. Gandharva guesses Kubera to be sleeping under a tree and could care less where he is. Maruna believes Gandharva is being insincere as he saw them both arguing over attacking Atera the previous day. He speculates if the reason Kubera's missing is because he returned to Atera for an attack. Gandharva replies that would make them enemies. Maruna questions whether Gandharva would really turn against Kubera and, if so, would result in he and Gandharva becoming enemies as well. Gandharva concludes that that is what he's working to prevent.

Just when Kubera catches up to Leez, she makes a jump up for the roof top to chase down the thieves. He ignores the crowd around him and follows Leez. In few steps, Kubera quickly closes the distance between them. When Leez carelessly jumps without awareness of her going down into a cliff, Kubera glimpses Leez's pink underwear.

(4) Kubera stops at the edge of the city as Leez plunge down the cliff. Just before Leez hits the ground, Kubera breaks her fall with a transcendental. When she gets up to continue pursuing the thieves, she accidentally drops her curry mushroom which is noticed by Kubera.

To stop the thieves in their tracks, Kubera increases the gravitational pull exerted on the box to make it heavier and force them to drop it. He reappears sitting on a tree branch near the thieves who have opened the box. The thieves pick up a bracelet and identify it as the Golden Knight bracelet from the engraved name Enan, the first human owner of the bracelet after Kubera gifted it to him. Kubera drops down from the tree when the thieves try to run with the bracelet. He beats the two and send them running at Leez's direction. When Leez notices the bracelet on the ground and is about to pick it up, Kubera, now in his adult form, snatches it away from her.

(5) Leez looks up to make eye contact with adult form Kubera, and is startled away and falls on her bum.

Leez, not recognizing that the child she met previously and the man in front of her are the same, accuses Kubera of being a trickster pulling a prank on her. Kubera redirects the topic to Leez's fashion choices and questions why she doesn't wear pants while he's looking up her skirt. Leez doesn't understand at first until she embarrassingly notices her body's position and instinctively punches him on the face. She becomes worried when Kubera doesn't say anything but still justifies her actions. Kubera ridicules her strength and is disappointed that she's wasting The Power of the Name. He gets up to leave stating this is a waste of his time, but is stopped by Leez to prevent him from taking the bracelet. Kubera declares that the bracelet is his and reaffirms himself that it is both his and from the box after Leez backs off after his intitial statement thinking he stole it from the box. When Leez repeats his reaffirmation, she detects the peculiarness of both statements happening to be true. She attempts to take back the bracelet to return it to its owner, but Kubera dodges all her attempts. Leez warns him that he'll go to Hell for stealing where he will be punished by Agni harshly. Kubera says nothing to her before countering with a proposal of whoever gets to the bracelet first (without magic) after he throws it gets to keep it. He says he'll cast a spell on the box while they're racing to prevent further theft. Leez accepts, assuming that she's faster than him on foot. Kubera throws the bracelet and disappears.

Leez arrives to the area where the bracelet has landed, and doesn't see Kubera. She spots the bracelet on the ground and makes a run for it. Just before she gets to the bracelet, Kubera stomps on it, startling Leez, and causes her to lose her footing. She is forced to grab on to Kubera to prevent herself from falling into the mud. Kubera accused her of trying to seduce him when she's not pretty enough yet and calls her short. Leez suddenly remembers being called short by the kid from earlier and only just now notices the resemblance between the kid and the man in front of her, as well as their identical clothes. She shakes her head as the idea of them being the same person would be impossible. Kubera abruptly twirls his fingers on the tips of Leez's curly pigtails, and wonders if they're real. Leez asks him to stop fooling around and hand over the bracelet as there is no way he could have beaten her without resorting to magic. Kubera is surprised by her confidence when she doesn't have the skills to back it and threatens her ominously by wrapping his hands around her neck. Leez is taken aback by how alike but dissimilar this situation is with the one where 'Idioty Smith' comforted her. Leez is bewildered by how a shamelessly thief who threatens to break girls' neck can remind her of 'Idioty Smith', and swiftly knees Kubera on the groin.

(6) Kubera briefly collapses in pain but rapidly recovers and grabs Leez from behind and push the bracelet down to her wrist.

Kubera reconsiders his assumptions regarding Leez and concludes she lacks the knowledge to control and even know about her strength. He cautions her to not overestimate her opponents' strength as that kick could have easily killed a regular human. Leez yells at him to back off and go their separate ways but is interrupted by numbness originating from her right arm, the arm where the bracelet is, and can feel her strength being drained. She is stunned to see that the bracelet has shrunk in size to fit tightly to her wrist. Kubera sits with Leez on the ground as she tries to get the bracelet off and twirls his fingers around her curls before being told to stop. Leez presumes Kubera would have knowledge on how to take off the bracelet, considering he wanted to take it, and asks him just that. Kubera lists three of four different way: She dies, she cuts off her hand, or she asks a 5th-Zen God. He tries enticing Leez to ask him, a 5th-Zen god, to take off the bracelet for her by playing 'what if' scenarios. Leez replies it would be rude of her to do that and admits that if she could ask for anything in the world, taking off the bracelet would not be her true wish. Kubera uses insight on her and sees that what she truly wants is her mother back. At Leez's asking, Kubera reveals that the last way to get the bracelet off would be to seek the Priest of Earth who should have the knowledge to grant her her request. Kubera breaks Leez's optimism when he informs her that the Priest of Earth is located on the other side of Willarv, 20 thousand kilometers away, in the city of Kalibloom. He also discloses that weakening its wearer is not the only thing the bracelet can do.

Kubera flashes back a long time ago to the bracelet's inception. He originally designed it to control the powers he has yet mastered and in turn, reduce the damage he caused. Eventually, Kubera learned to control his strength and offered it to others gods who may need it, one of them being Agni, but were all turned down. Instead of throwing it away, Kubera kept wearing the bracelet for the day someone would need it. In due time, the bracelet accumulated enough divine affinity that when Kubera gave it to its first human wearer, Enan, it transformed him from just a fighter into a Priest.

Leez is awed by the bracelet's magic, but is sad as she has to return it to its owner, and even thinks of compensating them back in some way. Using insight again, Kubera is puzzled by her perspective and tells her to just take the bracelet for herself. He even admonishes her for even thinking of trying to compensate the owner on top returning their bracelet. Leez scolds him for thinking that way. Kubera is exasperated by the level of her honesty and warns her she'll never get rich no matter how long she lives. As a gift to cover the cost of the bracelet, Kubera summons multiple gold bars out of nowhere, and when he notices how heavy that would be, summons a diamond stone instead. Leez is once again convinced he's a thief and reminds him that he'll be sent to Hell where he'd face Agni for his crimes. Kubera doesn't say anything, instead, he tells her to look at what's behind her. Leez turns and sees a group of suras preparing to attack.

(7) Kubera stands aside and observe as Leez takes down the leading sura. When it recovers to attack Leez again, Kubera pulls her to safety. He instructs Leez to not be so careless when he hasn't even permitted her to die. Leez is astonished by the nutty things Kubera sometime says and demands him to tell her how to properly use the bracelet. Kubera keeps quiet and uses his transcendental to force and press all the suras to the ground. Leez is perplexed as to what kind of magic Kubera used, and how he used it without saying anything. Kubera instead informs her that the bracelet suppresses its wearer's strength by suppressing their mind. In order for Leez to regain and even increase her strength, she has to use her mind properly. When Leez yells back her confusion, Kubera drops her to the ground to observe her at a distance and releases his hold on the suras. He watches as Leez splices the eyeball of the leading sura in one quick move and blast a different flying sura to nothingness. Content with what he saw, Kubera pops up again by Leez's side to express his satisfaction and strokes her hair. He exerts his power on the remaining suras to force to the ground and be plunged into a sinkhole. When he uses insight on Leez and finds her assuming everything to be a product of magic, Kubera, now glowing, points out how much she has to learn and is saddened he won't be by her side to see her grow. Leez, saying nothing, is curious if her eyes are failing her or if Kubera is actually glowing.

(8) Kubera tugs on Leez's hair; Leez yells at him to stop and demands what's so special about curly hair when his hair, eyebrows, and eyes changed colors out of nowhere. Kubera replies that he didn't realize it's evening all the sudden and continues tugging on Leez's hair, rationalizing how it's pleasant to touch and is the perfect height for him. He glares at Leez when he reads through insight that she's thinking about calling him a pervert. Kubera explains that there's a certain type of magic that strengthens the magician and envelops them in glowing, golden light. It's an extremely simplified version of the original and can only be used for one part of the body. A normal magician attempting to use it for their entire body will exhaust their vigor. Kubera continues that he's only speaking in general terms and that this happens to him every night with no side effect.

Leez determines that Kubera must be either doing all this out of boredom or as a preventative measure against balding. Kubera tries to clarify that the glowing light is a side effect, but falls quiet when Leez call him bald. When Leez becomes troubled over losing her curry mushroom, Kubera pulls it out and attempts to give Leez a thousand more if she won't accept jewels. He tells her never mind when she doesn't say anything. Instead of travelling slowly back to Atera on foot, Kubera picks Leez up and transports them inside the city in a blink of an eye, along with the stolen box. When Leez asks why she's struggling to lift the box up, Kubera explains that the bracelet is drained after she used up all her vigor in an effort to use powers beyond her ability. Leez tries to get Kubera to help her return the box to the store, but he declines. She bids him goodbye by saying thanks for all he did and somewhat retracts calling him a thief. Leez's parting words were calling Kubera a really good person. Kubera then sees an insight of Leez from the future calling him despicable. She regrets the name she received from her father, regrets meeting Kubera, and regrets not dying that die they met. If she had died, she would have been so much more happier. Kubera grabs Leez and confesses that his goal was to kill her, but decided to let her live when he saw her potential. After seeing her future, he gives Leez the choice to either live a difficult life full of regret or die at his hands right here and now.

(9) In the future, Leez questions how trust-worthy the insight Kubera saw of her future the day they met. She judges because if Kubera saw it at its entirety, he would have never given her the choice to live or die.

Back in the present, Leez doesn't know how she should respond and pushes Kubera away. Kubera moves back, but still presses for an answer. Leez answers that she will continue on living as the dead can't be revived but the living have the choice of when they would die. Kubera dashes what Leez considered as a thoughtful answer by deeming it an ordinary reply. He continuous on to reveal that Leez is not like ordinary people who can die when they want. Only when he allows it will Leez die. Leez is even more baffled and tries to walk back away from Kubera, but is forcibly stopped by him. Kubera reappears extremely close to Leez and scares her even more. He advises Leez that if she's already scared by the threat of being killed, she should logically say that she wants to live. If she makes that choice, Kubera pledges to protect her now and in the future. Leez believes that everything he's saying is a lie, and when she notices two strangers nearby, yells to them that she's being harassed. When the strangers look to see who's harassing her, they see Kubera appearing in his child form. He tags her, and the strangers leaving thinking they're just children having fun. Leez tries to fight him, but can't move as Kubera hasn't released his hold on her. He observes that Leez changes her personality either to be weak among the strong or strong among the weak. Kubera concludes it is not a good trait, but considers that she is still young. When Leez assumes his true appearance is the kid form, he asks her why she assumes that. She replies that kids want to be adults but no adult wants to be a kid. Kubera counters that being a kid allows him to go unnoticed. He gets annoyed by his decision to let Leez live when she assumes him to be arrogant. He turns to leave as he has no time and demands she make her choice the next time they meet. However, before he leaves, Leez introduces herself and asks Kubera's name. Kubera instead answers that that isn't her name and encourages her to keep using an alias. As a last warning, he cautions Leez to never speak of the "magic" she witnessed to anyone and calls her Shorty once again. Leez is unsure whether she rightly saw him smiling faintly when he left.

In the outskirts outside Rindhallow, Gandharva has finally found Kubera and asks him where he went. Kubera states he was wandering and mulling over things. Gandharva is relieved that Kubera didn't go alone to attack Atera, which prompts Kubera to ask if Gandharva if he doesn't trust him. Gandharva assures him that with their history, there is little trust between them and that this is only a mutually beneficial, transactional relationship. Whatever trust that Gandharva may have on Kubera would hinge on finding his daughter alive. Gandharva ends the conversation by reminding Kubera that their already strained relationship depends on his daughter's survival.

Chapter 6: The Past I Yearn For/Longing for Yesterday

(1) Maruna joins Gandharva to convince him that Atera would be a better choice of attack over Rindhallow. Gandharva instead details him of a different plan that doesn't entail attacking Atera. He informs Maruna of a gate to the sura realm opening today that would allow them to find Shakuntala. Maruna is confused as they have already tried questioning the suras entering Willarv through those gates regarding Shakuntala's whereabouts and yielded no results. Gandharva clarifies that he will be the one to go through the gate into the sura realm to search for Shakuntala, and have already received "his" blessings regarding this new plan. Maruna thinks that if the plan is successful, Gandharva searching for Shakuntala in his sura form would be much easier. However, Maruna is skeptical as he knows that finding Shakuntala alive is the only reason why Gandharva is on "his" side.

(2) Maruna's mistrust of Kubera forces him to hatch a backup plan behind Gandharva's back. He gathers a large number of mara and upani-ranking suras around Rindhallow for an attack in case anything goes wrong.

Gandharva arrives to where the gate would be, but is surprised to see that Kubera has already opened it without him. Kubera tells him to stop chatting and go through it.

(3) Kubera informs Gandharva that the gate only allows for movement in one direction, so if someone has already entered it, the person in the other side would have to wait until the first person completes the passage. When Gandharva tries to enter the gate, he is rejected. Gandharva, who ordered Kubera to open the gate to an isolated area of the sura realm, is outraged and accuses Kubera of sabotaging his plan. Sagara is revealed to be the one who used the gate first.

(4) Kubera stands silently behind as Maruna and Gandharva watch the massive amount of suras going through the gate and blocking their passage.

(5) Gandharva confronts Kubera and demands an explanation. He reminds the god of the meager trust he has on him. Kubera takes this as Gandharva believing his daughter is dead. Kubera, too, reminds Gandharva that turning his back on him would be turning his back on his daughter as he is the only capable of opening a gate to the sura realm. Shaken but persistent, Gandharva is appalled that Kubera would threaten him when he was the one who messed up opening the gate. Kubera intimidatingly stresses that Gandharva has no choice but to follow what he says unless he really plans to abandon his daughter. Gandharva reluctantly accepts and leaves, asking no one follow him as he wants to be alone. Maruna tries to think of reasons why Kubera would permit to Gandharva's plan and gamble making him angry if the outcome wasn't what Gandharva hoped for. Maruna's thoughts skid at the possibility that this is what Kubera maliciously wanted.

(6) In Atera, Asha reminds Leez that her fellow villagers died because she has the name of a god. Leez recalls a memory from her childhood when she fought with her mom to give her a new name because she was jealous she couldn't leave her village or go to school like Kaz. Anna tries to sooth Leez and reveals that she was given that name because her father was told that if he named his child 'Kubera', after 15 years, that child would be happier than anyone else.

Back at Rindhallow, Sagara reveals to Maruna that Kubera informed her of the rakshasa's plan to attack the more impenetrable Rindhallow over the weaker Atera.

Chapter 8: The Wavering King

(2) When Asha explains to Leez that barriers allows free movement outward from a city, but would require someone to go through a checkpoint for the opposite, Leez is confused how the age transforming little boy could bypass Atera's checkpoint and enter the city.

(3) Sagara reveals to Maruna the reason why he gave Gandharva false hope of finding his daughter – it was to cause emotional resonance and force Maruna to join Sagara in her plan to attack Atera. He never intended to help Gandharva honor his promise to Agni and was conspiring to remove Gandharva from the picture all along. Sagara gives Maruna the choice again between her and Gandharva.

(7) Kubera, in a slightly younger adult form, feeds a group of bunnies a wide variety of fruits. Sagara asks him what he's doing, and why in that form. Kubera replies that he made himself less intimidating to make the starving bunnies feel less scared around him. Sagara comments that that's out of character for him. Kubera asks her what she's doing here considering that she knows he doesn't want to be involved with Atera. Getting to the point, Sagara pointedly asks why Maruna is willfully helping him. She observantly concludes that Maruna made a deal with Kubera because he has a goal that he cannot achieve by himself. Kubera tells her it was nothing much and that once Maruna has finished helping him, he'll return the favor. Sagara replies how obvious that all Maruna wants to do is help his clan. She also remarks how jealous she is of Kubera to be able to lie so easily, especially with an expressionless face like his. Nonetheless, it doesn't matter to her since they share the same objective in the end. She tells him to pray that the attack on Atera would go as planned, but snidely reminds him that he has no one to pray to.

Chapter 10: The Night it Rained Fire

(1) Lorraine uses Kubera as an example of an ill-tempered god who do mind when their god-level item is modified, thus decreasing the probable success rate of the modification.

(5) Distraught over his situation, Gandharva conveys his despair to Shess over being manipulated by Kubera who he aligned with at first to help find his daughter. Despite that realization and knowing it will bear no fruit in his search, Gandharva is trapped to do Kubera's bidding.

(20) When Agni catches on that there are hidden motives behind the attack on Atera, Gandharva interrupts him by yelling "Agni, Please!" Knowing that Agni has insight, Gandharva begs him to not get involved, especially with 'Him.'

Agni looks around in alarm, confused by Gandharva's actions. He scans the horizon until he focuses his sights on a distant spot in the forest. Agni remembers Kubera's parting words warning him to stay away, stating that if this is the way he is "able to 'exist'... [They] would be better off never crossing paths again."

Gandharva interrupts his thoughts by thanking him for letting him go. In truth, Gandharva cautions Agni that if his "interests conflicts with his," he will lose everything from his city to the life of his Priestess, therefore it is better for the god to never speak of whatever knowledge he gained today.

Chapter 11: The Power of the Name

(1) In a flashback to D500, Agni congratulates Kubera on killing the strongest being in the universe – albeit he may wished the God of Earth failure after leaving him out of the campaign to kill Ananta. Agni curiously inquires Kubera how he did it, and that he "must be some sort of genius!" Kubera cynically asks if he's being sarcastic. Agni is taken aback, responding that his congratulations are sincere. After a little pause, Kubera replies he has no right to be congratulated and is relieved that the details surrounding Ananta's death is concealed. Agni is confused since the gods are all impressed with Kubera... All except for the primeval gods. Kubera states that that is exactly the problem. With hindsight, he reflects so fixated was he on the conquest before him, he "overlooked the importance of the 'Power of the Name'."

(2) Outside Rindhallow, Sagara notifies her rakshasas that after meeting with 'Him,' they've both determined that their target is still alive since 'his' power remains unchanged. Cloche and Hura comment that if the person survived, they must have escaped Atera, making their mission much harder now.

(3) In the depths of the Water Channel, Kubera, in his child form, appears behind Yuta, chastising him for entertaining the idea of revealing his true identity to Leez as she passes by. The god then berates the rakshasa for his odd eating habits, but promises to set aside their differences to provide distraction for him to slip away quietly.

When Leez reemerges to the surface, Kubera is there to greet her, commenting she must be a headache to her guardian. As he casually leans against his floaty, Kubera reminds Leez of his last question and asks again what her reply is.

(4) Leez looks at Kubera in disbelief, figuring she must be imagining things due to the lack of sleep, and walks away. Kubera follows close behind her, telling her to stop pretending he's not there, but she ignores him.

Leez, already confused by the Kubera's appearance, now has to deal with the fact that she's lost and somehow ended up in Area 79. Kubera offers to help her, but only if she finally gives him an answer to his question. Leez replies "o-of course" she will, and puts distance between them before he gets the chance to touch her hair again. When Leez pesters him over his chosen age, Kubera wonders why he bothers being considerate, and shifts to his adult form. He is slightly surprised when Leez is repulsed instead of the prudish, embarrassed reaction he was expecting. Kubera reverts back to his child form and continues to explain he chose this form because humans "are creatures easily blinded by appearances. This shape, at least, does not provoke your excessive reactions.” Confused and overwhelmed, Leez asks Kubera what happened to his clothes and if the floaty is necessary. Kubera replies that she should give her answer, pushing her whenever her mind strays. Leez, recalling his question involves whether she wants to live (and be protected by him), or die at his hands, humorously asks if her answer involves not living, would that mean he’ll no longer follow her? If that’s her desire, the god tells her that he’ll bury her so well that she “won’t even leave a trace.” In fact, he finds her dying to be a good choice. He acknowledges that although she has found more reasons to live than when he first proposed the subject to her, if she bases her decision on those few reasons, she will end up regretting her choice. Through insight into the future, a panel of Leez crying is depicted.

Seeing he’s so sure of her future, Leez asks what Kubera will be doing as she regrets her life? The scene changes. Kubera, standing underneath a tree, is being called forth by an unknown person. The mystery figure corrects themself saying he’s no longer Kubera, and advises him that he will not be easily forgiven even if he tries to live honestly. In such scenario, the person asks Kubera is it not better to continue being cunning and deceitful like that time when he tricked Ananta? Kubera replies he “has no wish to repay wrong with wrong.” The person accepts Kubera’s decision, but warns that his “opponent already knows how this battle will end… And only fools fight battles they are destined to lose.”

Kubera’s thoughts return to the present as he listens to Leez use logic to arrive to a decision. When she wonders if her living must beneficial to him, Kubera replies that he’s unsure as his insight is not as accurate as Visnu’s. Leez is surprised to find that he’s not as confident in his prediction of her future as she assumed, and that by giving her a choice, it is actually him shifting responsibility to her. The god is visibly jolted by the realization. Leez assures him that it’s okay to want someone to make the decision for them, and always having the right answer is unrealistic. She finally gives him her answer: She’ll live. And she’ll keep on living, and watching over him, to see if he ends up happy or sad in the end. She says that Kubera’s not a bad person, just a little perverted.

Kubera has another insight into Leez’s future as she warns him to get lost and don’t come any nearer to her, otherwise she’ll kill him. With this insight, Kubera knows that the future has changed, along with their relationship, but doesn’t understand why. Now that she has given him an answer, Leez suggests they now find a way out of the place. Kubera, now in his adult form, offers her a hand telling her “There’s no need. Wherever you wish to go… Say the word, and I will take you there.”

(5) Kubera takes Leez to where she wants to go: Her group’s campsite a little before the entrance of Area 51. She then asks him to teach her the trick for quick transport. Kubera replies he can’t as she does not have enough power presently. When Leez comments about her inability to use even common magic such as hoti magic, the god informs her she’s wrong and that she can use hoti magic. Leez is puzzled as magicians should be good at calculations, which she is not. Kubera discloses that “Calculations are not strictly necessary. There are people who can find the answers without.” Gods and suras, for example, do not need use calculations when using their transcendentals. However, this ability can also be found in a few select humans. He specifies that the skill has nothing to do with intelligence, but rather “methods of thought […] to intuitively grasp dimensions higher than the one” the individual resides in.

Leez interrupts him to claim that she has no idea what Kubera is talking about. The god recommends that she have a magician test her, alleging that she possesses the ability. Leez thanks him, and tries to get away from him as quickly as possible. Kubera cuts in front of her out of nowhere to say he doesn’t have as much free time as she thinks. When she tries to evade him, the god asks her “Why here? I can take you anywhere you wish. […] Surely this place is not your final destination?” Leez is surprised to find out he was willing to take her all the way to Kalibloom. She responds why would she when Asha, Yuta, and Ran are all here. When Kubera continues to press Leez for the place she wants to go, he has an insight of the people of her village when she finally admits that “it doesn’t exist anymore.” She then turns around remembering she doesn’t even know his name and asks him what it is while lamenting how he knew all her names. Kubera pops up in front of her to inform her that he has no name, an important fact that she should not take lightly. Leez questions why that is, but gives up when he remains tight-lipped. She then tries to name him Alexander, which the god declines. Instead, Kubera suggests she continue calling him ‘Mister’, but only like that of a title, and not as a name. Leez accepts, but only reluctantly so due to his childish appearance. To teach her a lesson, Kubera at first touches Leez’s hair, but then tugs and messes with it. He is unimpressed when she couldn’t even keep up with his speed. He warns her that if she remains the way she is, she will be nothing. His parting words to Leez before he disappears from her sight are “When we meet again, I hope to see you stronger… Worthy of the Power of the Name.” In reality, the god is standing on a platform above her listening in as she complains of his strange ways.

3-204 Yuta vs Kubera

(4) In a direct continuation from Crime and Punishment, God Kubera and Yuta's avatar are embroiled in conflict on Planet Konchez. The scene opening with Yuta shattering a wall with a teal transcendental.

God Kubera, in his child form, warns Yuta about wasting his power and suggests he give up.

Yuta hears none of it. Instead, the avatar rages about Leez, tossing more transcendentals as he does. He screams for an answer about what Kubera did to Leez and lists his accusations: a name and sins she never wanted, a life of being numb to even the pain of death.

Pinning God Kubera, Yuta demands he bring Leez back, threatening the god and the universe.

3-205 child Kubera

(5) Unphased by Yuta's threats, God Kubera calls his bluff. There's nothing Yuta can do, and no matter what he tries, he won't be able to find Leez.

He also informs Yuta that he broke his sealing rope again.

Yuta startles.

God Kubera takes the opening for what it is and tosses the avatar off and into a mountain. He floats after, asking if Yuta even has the right to find Leez with his demonstrable absence of any control whatsoever.

Yuta clutches the bind, protesting that the item breaks because its rank is lower than his mother's. However, it restores quickly enough and helps him recover his senses.

God Kubera scoffs. He deigns to inform Yuta about the events skipped while the avatar was unconscious.
Gandharva's soul annihilation ability was used on the main body of Taraka, and after the 49 day succession period elapsed, Yuta's true body developed without his mind within. The suras in charge of keeping him safe were eaten first. Uninhibited, the body's insatiable appetite turned to devouring the entire sura realm.

Yuta snaps back in surprise and denial. He should know if his own body developed and went into a rampage.

God Kubera tells the rakshasa the bare fact that his body is beyond his control and leads into a rhetorical question. How could third stage mind possibly control a fourth stage body? Yuta's body is a soulless container, fulfilling the only purpose it knows.
