Episode 3-242

Season 3 Episode 242: Abyss (1)

Within the white space, "Ananta" explains that regardless of his soul, he will be resurrected and destroy the world. Ran recalls how they battled Yuta's soul-less 4th stage body a thus recognizes that a body with no soul can move. He wonders where Ananta's body must be and recalls the golden scales that he saw in the sky during the failed resurrection attempt.

Ran wonders why Ananta's body was whole while Yaksha's had been broken up so badly and if the gods had a say in this. He spots Raltara flying through the white space but Ananta stops him before he can follow. Ananta states that if Ran follows Raltara, he will never be reunited with his family again. But if he does not follow Raltara, 109 humans will die. Both decisions will involve guilt and sin so which will Ran make?

Ran recalls a conversation he had with Rana of the doomed timeline. She understood perfectly the theory behind timelines and when Ran told her of what happened, she set aside her kitty ears, aged, and she refused to flee the timeline with Ran. She felt that it would be wrong for her and the children of the other timeline to be replaced by them of this timeline. She would stay with the children, but she also told him that he must live, that he can make a great difference. And that every universe has a Rana who loves him and is loved by him. None is more important than the rest.

Ran recalls Chandra's words about the necessity of sacrifice of that which is dear to you, he recalls Yaksha's thanks and wish to meet again someday, he recalls Shuri's words of Visnu fixing the timelines and getting rid of those who are not supposed to be there. The teacher saying the gods gave him Yaksha's bone. And lastly, Asha claiming that Ran cannot truly empathize unless he lost as much as the person he is sympathizing with.

Ran is filled with anger and he attacks Ananta. He declares that he is sick of all those who try to push guilt on others as if they held none of their own. If Raltara is about to kill 109 humans, does this Ananta not carry guilt for sending her there? Why is he trying to push the blame on Ran? He is clearly in no place to lecture.

Episode 3-243

Season 3 Episode 243: Abyss (2)

Ananta says that he too wished to save Yaksha, as if he read Ran's thoughts. He proclaims that many beings have been enduring injustice for a very long time while Ran could not endure even this one injustice. Ananta declares that he listens to the voices fighting against injustice, those who died and became material to sustain the universe.

Ran finds it unfair that people who are simply living should be punished and Ananta describes how piled up grudges transform even the kindest person. A universe like that should be destroyed. Ran wonders if this force was also responsible for the Cataclysm and regrets that Visnu can no longer help in N23.

Deformed humanoid beings appear around Ran and show terrifying predictions of the future. A bloodied Leez, Maruna, Rana and her children. Ran recalls having seen those beings before and slashes at them to make them stay away. The beings tell him that he cannot win and he should listen to them. Ran resolutely refuses.

As the mockery intensifies, Raltara appears and attacks those beings. They tell her that she is a killer and wonder if she remembers them, one of them takes the form of an ancient human who she killed. Ran cannot hear what they are saying to her. They tell her that suffering awaits her for her sins.

A red tornado swirls around Raltara and she disappears, Ran runs into the tornado and he finds himself in Atera of N5 near the destroyed temple of destruction. Jibril Ajes stands atop a cliff, facing a horde of flying suras.

Episode 3-244

Season 3 Episode 244: Abyss (3)

Ran recognizes Jibril and deduces that he must be in N5. He recalls that her divine affinity was said to exceed 10,000 and he wonders if Raltara was the one to kill her for the inferior suras that he sees in the distance would be incapable of such a feat.

Ran's attention is drawn by the Temple of Destruction where he feels a fluctuating transcendental value. Little Brilith is crying in the Temple ruins. A monster reminiscent of a Taraka slithers up behind her.

As Ran wonders why Jibril is fighting all on her own despite having allegedly summoned a god, he gets attacked by Laila. She recognizes Chandra's cloak and tells Ran not to get in her way, especially if he is acting on Chandra's orders. Ran is confused what her intentions are.

Laila uses Hoti Chandra to hide herself and Ran from Jibril. The two continue to fight, each raising their transcendental value and forced to use more strength. Not even freezing Laila works for long. Ran attempts to get away from the fight when he suddenly hears Brilith sobbing.

Episode 3-245

Season 3 Episode 245: Abyss (4)

Ran is indecisive whether to pick up little Brilith because he suspects it could be a trick. But then he suddenly becomes able to see the Taraka-ish monsters looming over her. Hesitant no more, Ran carries Brilith away and evades the pursuing monsters.

He assures the frightened Brilith that he will not leave her behind. She says that something terrible happened to her at home in Atera, something regarding her dad. Ran chooses to take her to a nearby village instead.

Laila and Jibril face off. Laila attempts to convince Jibril that neither of them needs to die and that they are getting manipulated. But Jibril claims that one of them needs to go because the names they use are not their real names (presumably Kubera) and they would obstruct each other in the future.

Ran passes through a forest. He notices a bird-like superior sura and follows in hopes that it is Raltara. When he gets close enough, he realizes it is someone else. He is within sight of Leez's village.

Episode 3-246

Season 3 Episode 246: Abyss (5)

Ran talks to villagers Peil and Roen about them caring for the unconscious Brilith. Anna and Haas arrive on scene and identify Brilith's identity. Ran is baffled by how Jibril can leave Brilith in an extremely dangerous place. Anna defends Jibril, arguing that Ran does not know of Jibril's circumstances, and that maybe the situation forced the mother-daughter pair to be reluctantly separated.

Jibril and Laila clash elsewhere. When Laila gains the upper hand, she urges Jibril to reject the words of the god that she suspects Jibril summoned, claiming the gods to be untrustworthy and will unhesitatingly disregard human lives when their goals have been achieved. Jibril replies that the summoning is mutually beneficial to both parties, all of Laila's rejections of summoning are just postponing the inevitable, and to grab any opportunity that presents itself, such as killing the enemy like her. Laila refuses, revealing that she recognized Jibril's efforts were not in earnest. Jibril admits that it would be better for her daughter if she, Jibril, were to die during their fight instead of Laila, as she can see that Laila possesses more humanity than her. Before she can finish, Jibril becomes alert and stops her dagger-wielding husband in the nick of time. It is revealed that Talith is determined to kill his very own daughter.

Talith retreats, and Marut appears. She now has an understanding of why Talith spent nearly all his remaining lifespan to summon her. The two scheme on how to defeat Jibril.

Back in Leez's village, the villagers are preparing for an evacuation due to a Taraka-ish monster sighting and the ongoing battler near the Temple of Destruction. After asking a villager, Ran now definitively knows that the year is N5, an entire decade before the village's obliteration in year N15. He feels the sins of his inaction from not changing the future bearing down on him. When Leez appears to greet her mother, Ran resolves to stay away from her and leave the village.

While trying to look for Raltara, Ran happens upon Kalavinka. She interrogates what a superior sura like him is doing here bringing a child to a place that will disappear. She concludes that Ran must be the one who will destroy the village tonight.

Episode 3-247

Season 3 Episode 247: Abyss (6)

Ran is surprised about Kalavinka mentioning destruction of the village at such a time. He theorizes that she might be a at least a 4th stage Rakshasha and perhaps even a 5th stage due to her lack of sura traits. Ran decides to act humble and find out who she is. He tells her that he was only bringing an abandoned child to the village and doesn't know anything else, but she calls him out as a Nastika due to his usage of human and sura speech. Kalavinka remains convinced that Ran wants to destroy the village and Ran explains that he's looking for his companion, to which she replies by asking if said companion is Raltara.

She explains that he had been yelling the name before. Ran is surprised at Kalavinka being able to remember Raltara's name. Kalavinka rips space with a swing of her right arm and teleports Ran, who has activated his sura skill, into another location. Kalavinka uses an offensive transcendental on Ran and slams him to the ground. Kalavinka is surprised at Ran being able to survive a head on hit and reaffirms her suspicions of him being a Nastika. Ran thinks about how she wanted to get him away from the village and then realizes that he has been teleported to a beach close to Kalibloom in midday. Ran then starts laughing since he can now fight without risk to his lifespan.

Ran starts attacking Kalavinka with water attacks and she dodges, he then charges at her in a white form and pushes her into a nearby mountainside. She emerges, seemingly unhurt, and Ran poders how she's stronger than sura-form Maruna but weaker than Raltara, while still being in her human-form. He asks her if she's a 5th stage, which seems to surprise her. They both accuse each other for having unreasonable powers for their ranks and Kalavinka tells Ran that she's surprised about finding a Yaksha Nastika backing Raltara. Ran asks her about Raltara and Kalavinka replies that she was one of the causes of the Cataclysm.

Meanwhile, back at the village, Leez, Kaz, Haas and a sleeping Brilith sit together waiting. Haas brings cookies and drinks and they start talking about their situation. Kaz asks about Brilith and Haas recognizes her as Jibril's daughter, they both call her a princess and Haas calls her pretty, to which Kaz replies that she is not. Leez tries to wake Brilith up and Haas suggests playing word games as a distraction, Kaz tells him that he always wins and that he will play once he has read as many books as him. When hearing this Leez brings out two books, one blue book titled "Autobiography of Rao Leez, the Final Champion" and the a black book titled "Idha Etu".

Episode 3-248

Season 3 Episode 248: Abyss (7)

Ran, without his skill on, casts Hoti Brahma to make a swimming ring appear. He tells Kalavinka that such a display of magic means he is human, to which she replies that there are similar transcendental skills. He argues that there are no suras who could have all the attributes he has shown so far, prompting her to say he could have used an item to imitate magic, like she can do for Hoti Varuna. After Ran argues back Kalavinka tells him that she will believe him if he shows everything under his cloak, which he refuses, as he is uncertain about letting a sura know about the Eye of Punishment. Then she says she won't change her mind. However, she smiles and mentions that his attitude is very different from Nastikas who are authoritative to the extreme.

Ran wonders about her hostility towards Nastikas and asks about Raltara. Kalavinka tells Ran that Raltara was the cause of the emotional resonance affecting both superior and inferior suras in the Cataclysm. She explains how the resonance usually comes from kings, but it was not the case back then. Her own father, Garuda, had already collapsed and the Garuda clan still suffered from the resonance. Ran realizes that she is the sister of Maruna due to her parentage. She corrects that she is his younger sister, not an older sister. She asks about Ran's relationship to Maruna. Ran calls him a companion, like he did Raltara, and admits to being confused about what Kalavinka explained, as the Raltara he knew would never cause the Cataclysm according to Ran.

Ran tries to explain about Raltara travelling through time to 5 years earlier than him. Kalavinka notices he had time travel and understands his incomprehensible power, as he might have received help from those who handle time. She mentions she had been living with Visnu and learnt about time with him. Kalavinka says "Let's save 'the future'."

The children, back at the village, look at the Idha Etu book, which Haas thinks corresponds with summoning magic, but he isn't sure. Leez tries to take the book for herself and fights with Kaz over it, with the result of a page getting ripped by Kaz and Leez breaking his shirt. Haas grabs Kaz and lets Leez have her book, telling her to put it back in the bag. While Kaz is complaining about Leez they hear a sound outside. Kaz, ignoring the warnings to not open the curtains, checks the source of the sound and calls it a huge bear. Upon hearing this Leez rushes to the window, pushing Haas into the wall. The source of the sound turns out to be a huge blue monster. Haas tells the others to hide inside, but Kaz tells him that they are being used as bait for the adults to escape, like their mother did, and that they should escape. Haas tries to tell Kaz that Anna would never do that, but the monster attacks Brilith at the same moment. Leez uses some skill, leaving a golden trail, to cover the distance and try to shield her with her body, but Kalavinka had already stopped the blow.

The chapter ends with Kalavinka stating that from where the bombing would go to the monsters around them, Visnu prophecised nothing correctly.

Episode 3-249

Season 3 Episode 249: Abyss (8)

Kalavinka punches the monster and seems to kill it. She says that she is glad she managed to arrive on time and congratulates Leez on her speed, but is surprised that Leez isn't able to hear sura speech. Haas is scared but Kaz is not and calls Kalavinka strong and cool, making her smile. More monsters keep attacking and she kills them with apparent ease, but they keep piling up and she tells Ran to help. Ran complains that the environment is unsuitable to his powers, prompting Kalavinka to tell him to guard the kids, but he refuses as he does not want to show his face. Ran steps into a pond and summons huge pillas of ice to stab the monsters chasing him.

Once the monsters have all been dealt with Ran wonders about their nature. Kalavinka explains that she does not know either, they started to appear around 2 years before the Cataclysm. She explains that inferior suras and Halfs lost their minds, but superior suras simply showed increased agression, holding part of their sanity, but attacking these monsters on sight. Considering the size of the sura forms of Nastikas and their destructive powers they ended up causing much more damage to their surroundings, humans and suras both, than to the monsters. She explains how monsters with the same form kept appearing, so they might not have even damaged the monsters in the end, as they might not have a concept of death. Ran asks if they are similar to the Tarakas, but Kalavinka tells him that they are very different beings, since they do not have the eyes, can be distinguished by appearance and are dark blue, while the Tarakas are dark red. Kalavinka explains how Visnu once called these beings "the losers of the previous universe".

There is a flashback to Visnu explaining to a 2nd stage Kalavinka how the losers are people who were eliminated from the previous game and that this universe was created to give them another chance, as a consolation match. Kalavinka asks about the roles of suras and gods in the game, asking if they are also losers, but Visnu explains that some of them are already out of the game, as referees, spectators or cheerleaders, as he calls them. Kalavinka asks about the rest besides those few, making Visnu wonder if there is no use for them.

The flashback ends and Kalavinka tells Ran how the monsters do not seem to attack each other and attack not only other sentient races, but also animals, plants and topological features. Unlike the Tarakas they do not eat, only kill and destroy. Kalavinka shares her guess that their condition of victory must be eliminating every living being besides themselves. She tells Ran how they do not seem to attack just anyone, but in a similar way to the Tarakas focus on weakened but strong targets, Leez in this case. Ran seems concerned both about how the gods in the future do not seem worried about these beings and how Leez never mentioned such an incident in her vilalge to him before. He asks her if she is sure about the destruction of the village being supposed to happen now, to which she replies that she does not know, Visnu spoke in riddles.

Jibril and Laila are shown fighting together against Marut, who wonders if she was the only one late to the fight. Jibril tells Laila to go back but she seems worried about leaving Jibril alone against a god. Jibril then points out that her own summoned god is still active. A tall hooded figure appears, who summons a golden spear and Marut calls "Kubera".

Episode 3-250

Season 3 Episode 250: Abyss (9)

Ran and Kalavinka are observing a fire tornado, Ran wonders if this is the bombing Kalavinka spoke of before. Kalavinka replies that it probably is, since the village is close by and there are two gods, who she thinks are there to kill Leez. Ran wonders why gods would want to kill her and Kalavinka reminds him about the cheerleaders Visnu mentioned, who might have the role of cheering on the losers of the previous universe, the monsters they had just been fighting. Kalavinka guesses that those gods might want everything in the universe to die and the universe to end. While looking over the two opposing gods to see who might be the cheerleader Marut is ruled out due to her 4th zen status, prompting Ran to wonder about who could have summoned Marut, making him remember Talith and wonder about his death. Kalavinka is unsure about the other god, as they have Kubera's spear but don't have his characteristic light at night.[1] Kalavinka tells Ran that it could be Kubera anyway, with him hiding his identity by appearing as a cheerleader, although such hiding would not work against Idha Etu magic.

Leez is reading the Idha Etu book and Kaz asks her about how she could be reading a book at such a time. Leez replies that her mother told her to read the book if anything happened. Leez realizes that a page was torn off and Kaz admits it was him, making Leez hit him on his back. Haas finds the torn off page and sees that "Kubera" is written on it. Haas suggests they hide in case the monsters show up again, but Kaz is confident that Kalavinka will save them again. Kaz and Haas start arguing again about how they were used as bait and Kaz points out that the only one who helped, and they can trust, is Kalavinka and that they should wait for her.

Leez asks about her mother coming back, and Kaz tells her that she isn't coming back. Leez replies that her mother promised, prompting Kaz to angrily tell her that her own mother also made that very promise, but then she ran away and died. Kaz ends the conversation by saying that his mother died as punishment for being a bad person, which makes Leez tear up and angrily grab the book away from Kaz and say that she will make her mom come for her. Talith appears in the village, surprising the kids. He tells them that he arrived there by following the path of destruction and that Brilith is a lump of curses. He asks about the adults in the village and when Haas replies that they are coming back he points out that he heard them shout that they had been abandoned and deceived, seeing that they are in the company of a lump of curses. Talith takes out his dagger and moves towards Brilith, Leez runs towards him, but is stopped by a purple shield. He warns her to stay away, but she does not listen and Haas, worried, shouts her name as "Kubera". Talith recognizes the name and tells Leez that she will soon be killed by Jibril, that she is a Kubera raised as a scapegoat meant to be used as a scapegoat.

Marut and the hooded figure that Kalavinka called a cheerleader are fighting. Marut attacks, but the figure blocks him with a transparent green-blue shield Indra tells the figure that he has been discovered and that Indra had noticed what was happening, that Kubera had no regrets even if the universe were to end and focused on buttering up to Brahma. Marut warns that even if she is killed, Indra knows about the summoning, but Kubera pulls out his spear and approaches Marut. She is visibly scared of the spear and how she might be treated as a mistake, and begs Kubera to simply kill her. Kubera prepares to use the spear on Marut, but an unknown figure with long hair casts Idha Etu Kubera, and he is teleported in front of Leez.

Episode 3-251

Season 3 Episode 251: Abyss (10)

Haas exclaims that the summoning worked, while Kaz has a dark expression and god Kubera seems surprised. Leez asks god Kubera if he is a god, and he replies by asking if she was the one who summoned him. She nods, but he does not believe her, thinking about how he had a different presence moments ago and noting that she does not have the talent needed to summon. Leez hits Kubera and claims that she is telling the truth, that she did indeed summon her, while Haas backs up her version of the story. Kubera picks up the summoning book and says that he now knows they have no ill intentions, then tries to leave in search of Anna, who gave Leez the book. Leez tries to tag along since she wants to meet her mother again, making Kubera pick her up and say that she can help him find his mother. Kaz has an angry expression and seems to try to stop them, before they disappear.

Marut and Laila are fighting. Marut points out how neither Jibril nor Kubera are there, and how Laila must have great magical prowess to be able to hide that from her.[2] Marut asks Laila about whose decision it was to fight her in order to protect Jibril, hers or Chandra's. There is a flashback to Jibril asking Laila to trick Marut into thinking she is still there, so she can go and protect Brilith from Talith, who she has not seen in the fight since earlier.[3] Jibril starts to beg Laila, but Laila stops her before she can continue and agrees to help. Jbril tells Laila to meet as friends the next time, and there is a scene of Jibril sewing Laila's iconic green mask.

Back in the present, Laila casts Bhavati Chandra Hoti Brahma and ties Marut. Marut breaks the bonds and Laila admits that she can't beat a 4th zen god, but her summoner does not have much lifespan left. The scene switches to Talith in the forest, surrounded by fire, kneeling in front of Jibril in her fire form. She asks him why he was running away with Brilith, thinking he would have killed her on sight. He replies by saying that he is different from her and is held back by bonds, with a scene shown of him attempting to kill Brilith with shiva's dagger but not being able to go through, even when he knows that something needs to be done. He lowers his dagger and starts crying as he evaporates, with brilith in his arms, cursing Jibril to go to hell. He lays Brilith down before he dies.

Marut's powers start fading, and Laila realizes that Talith has died. Marut seems very angry at the situation and starts morphing into something different. Ran is watching the scene, thinking that his intervention was not needed, but then Marut keeps transforming into a creature with black eyes rimmed with red and a missing jaw. Meanwhile, Kaz is trying to explain to Kalavinka how his friend was taken by a god, but she suddenly leaves and Haas points out that she did not want to help them after all and never bothered talking to them. She appears in front of Ran, who tries to explain the situation, but Kalavinka recognizes the figure Marut has become as Raltara, which confuses Ran. Kalavinka says she will explain later and snaps off her collar, with her head turning into that of a bird, and telling Ran that although she looks much weaker than during the Cataclysm, he will die if he holds back like he did against her.

Episode 3-252

Season 3 Episode 252: Abyss (11)

Ran thinks that the being in front of him can't possibly be Raltara and tells Kalavinka that he is not holding back and not to rely on his fighting skills. Meanwhile Kalavinka's sura traits show up on her, with her face transforming into that of a bird. She hands Ran her choker and tells him that it will repair itself soon since it's a god class item and that he should put it back on her if she gets too excited and loses sight of her objectives. Kalavinka wonders about how things could happen this way when Marut was not supposed to be an enemy and when Ran tries to tell her about Laila he realizes that she has disappeared. Kalavinka says that Raltara can only stay there for as long as the remains of Marut stay, but that they still have to prevent her from doing more damage and attacks her in sura form.

Raltara also transforms into sura form and they fight in the sky with what seems like several transcendentals and Kalavinka tries to use the same transcendental she used to teleport Ran, who is now sitting on her head, to Kalibloom. They find themselves in the Abyss instead and Kalavinka guesses that Raltara must have altered her transcendental and that to do so she must either be the current king of the tarakas or be receiving help from them. Ran points out that Raltara can't possibly be the king since she is a Garuda and Kalavinka explains that Kali took the name of the original Taraka to create the clan and give birth to her second brother, making both clans very close. Ran asks if she means Yuta and she points out that Yuta is not his real name, just like she herself and Maruna also have hidden names no one else knows about. Raltara and Kalavinka keep attacking each other while this conversation is going on.

Ran asks if it is okay to share such important information, but she tells him that the fact that she can openly speak to him about it must mean that he is meant to listen to it. There is another flashback to Visnu telling her that she will only be able to share the information he gives to someone who needs to hear it, since he will not be there to do it. He tells her that he will go to a far away place and never return, Kalavinka starts crying and he tells her about the Cataclysm and that even if he does return she should not involve herself with him, since he will not be the Visnu she knows anymore. He ends up by telling her to stay vigilant and harden her heart.

Kalavinka starts struggling against Raltara and asks Ran for help, but he is hesitant to use his powers as his lifespan drains quickly in the abyss. While he is pondering about whether to use his powers or not he realizes that he still has the Eye of Punishment as an option.

Episode 3-253

Season 3 Episode 253: Abyss (12)

The episode starts with a flashback in the year N23, before leaving for Konchez. Chandra is explaining to Ran how to properly use the eye of punishment. He explains that to release the item, you need to cast "Idha Etu Visnu", although the spell when used this way will not summon the God. Ran wonders why a Visnu spell is used for Kali's item and tests the spell when prompted by Chandra. The spell succeeds, and Chandra explains how the eye is no different from the Kali fragments Ran used to gather for him. He then explains how to put the item back on: a human and a sura agree on a sincere wish while being aware of the side effects of using the Eye, then the human casts "Idha Etu Kali", equipping the item. Depending on how much the time to develop was shortened, different negative consequences will arise in the sura. If the sura using the item has not had the consequences properly explained to them, said punishment will fall upon the human user instead. Ran points out that Maruna already knows about the item and it's consequences, but Chandra points out that they have no idea what might happen in Konchez, and he might not be the one the item is used on.

Before leaving, Chandra reminds Ran to explain the conditions of the item use properly, but Ran asks how an animal like Leez the cat can properly undernstand them. Chandra admits that an animal can not possibly undernstand nor develop, so the item was not properly used, which is why the release spell worked even though Visnu no longer exists. Now that Visnu is not there once the spell is successfulyl cast there is no way to undo it.

Back in the present N5 timeline, Kalavinka and Raltara are fighting while Ran is wondering whether to use the item on Kalavinka or not, as he does not want her to suffer any negative consequences and the changes made during development might change her current good heart too. He asks her about the Eye, but she already seems to know about the item and even tells Ran that she has one of her own, one that Visnu picked up 500 years ago, making Ran guess that it is the same Eye.

Raltara suddenly seems to pay less attention to Kalavinka, making her guess that mentioning the Eye distracted her. Raltara is shown to have non-taraka eyes like the ones Sampathi once had, calls for Ran and stops attacking. He asks about what happened to her, but she starts crying and asks him to kill her.

Episode 3-254

Season 3 Episode 254: Abyss (13)

Kalavinka seems surprised that Ran has her Eye, accusing Ran of looking for that all along. Raltara begs Ran for the Eye to be given to her, making him ask if she is still thinking of developing for Maruna's sake. After a brief silence Raltara confirms that she is doing this for Maruna and that she will manage to regain control of her body if she develops. Ran is unsure of whether to believe Raltara or develop Kalavinka like he originally wanted to, so he decides to settle the issue by making the wish tied to development be about Maruna.

He thinks that whoever agrees the most with the wish being made will be the one who develops and wants to use that to gauge their sincerity. His choice of wish is for Maruna to see humans as beings equal to himself. Kalavinka seems to hesitate and consider it an impossible wish, but Raltara claims to believe in it's potential to be fulfilled. Even so both of them agree on the wish and Ran casts the spell, which seems to work since the Eye disappears, but no one gets developed. Ran tries to get the Eye back but the cancelling spell does not work.

Ran is confused and suddenly spits blood, Raltara starts to scream and attacks him, making Kalavinka defend him, even though she still thinks of him as someone suspicious. Ran complains that something is tying down his heart and that it hurts a lot. Kalavinka sees a path she recognizes to a friendly clan.

Episode 3-255

Season 3 Episode 255: Abyss (14)

At the mouth of the Abyss within the Yaksha Clan Stronghold, Tatia notices Kalavinka beckoning her over. Suspecting Ran is of Yaksha heritage, Kalavinka begs Tatia to help him. Tatia thinks Hanuman would be apprehensive in extending a helping hand to a stranger after suffering major loses while helping the Gandharvas against the Tarakas. However, moved by Kalavinka's pleas, Tatia promises the Garuda she will do all that she can, but the rest will be up to her clan. Kalavinka expresses her gratitude, and starts back towards the Abyss. Tatia asks her what she's doing; Kalavinka smoothly replies, "Saving the future."

While unconscious, the voices of zombies echo through Ran's head, taunting him about giving up, about failing to protect his family, about making Yaksha's efforts and sacrifice go all in vain. This lights up Ran and he grabs on to his enemy...

But Ran wakes up and instead finds himself him gripping his king, and grandmother, Hanuman. He is inside a cave chamber with Hanuman and Tatia. Ran flinches away, commenting how Hanuman's attitude is different from before. Hanuman replies him too, but he much younger than he was previously. The nastika assures Ran he doesn't need to explain, and that she knows his identity. Hanuman informs Ran that he was given temporary relief for his heart that staged up due to the Pledge Token acting on it; Ran is baffled hearing the news. Hanuman continues, mentioning the near impossibility of a detached sura part developing independently. When Tatia asks if he tried using the reversal spell, Ran reveals he did, but to no result. Hanuman and Tatia discuss a wish being granted, and of the Token equipping a sura who will now die obsessing over changing Maruna. Ran is shocked to the core. Hanuman reveals that from the four anecdotes she knows of, all but one died in vain, never seeing their true wish come true until many years after their death. Hanuman speculates that Kali is using the promise of fulfilling a rakshasa's wish to bait them into their destruction. Ran is disheartened at the newly revealed information, but finds solace in the likely possibility of Maruna changing in the end.

Tatia takes her turn to speak of a friend who made a wish that will never come true. That friend, Sona, wished to die protecting Yaksha. Kali miscalculated the odds of her wish coming true, predicting that the king would outlive a mere rakshasa. But through Visnu's interventions, and with the help of a few gods, the odds in favor of Yaksha turned against him. Even with Sona's wish now being impossible, the deal was not nullified. Instead, Sona retained her development along with debilitating mental changes. If forced to explain what happened to her, Hanuman guesses that Sona did not specify protecting Yaksha from death, and that the meaning of her wish was twisted into protecting Yaksha's honor. Hanuman concludes that whoever "informed" Ran of the Pledge Token was talking nonsense if they did not inform of him of the information that she revealed, and demands to know who it was. The king then dismisses Tatia and asks Ran again for the person's identity. Seeing how Ran cannot reveal it, Hanuman touches his head and expresses her sympathies for his situation and for being taken advantage of. Hanuman apologizes for not seeing Visnu's actions and the consequences it had for the clan and her descendants. She promises him that she will help him with all her power.

Akasha interrupts the two, revealing that she has been eavesdropping for quite some time. Tatia apologizes for not being able to stop the Garuda nastika. Akasha then tells Hanuman that she has been planning for this outcome, and is here to help.

Episode 3-256

Season 3 Episode 256: Abyss (15)

Outside the Yaksha cave system, Tatia speaks with three nastika clanmates. They discuss the similar personalities of Tatia, Tatia's parents, and Kalavinka when she has no collar. The group eventually gossip about the state of the Garuda Clan and how damned they will be damned if Akasha ends up assuming the responsibilities of the king.

Back in the caves, Hanuman and Akasha have a heated discussion about the current political landscape between the competing sura clans. Manasvin and Sagara have been proposing alliance with their clan, the Anantas, in return of allied kings supporting their course of action. Akasha, supportive of the Anantas, tries to persuade Hanuman into joining, but Hanuman wants none of it. She calls how fragile the Garuda Clan is if they are willing to ally themselves with their nemesis, the Anantas. Akasha counters that the Yakshas are barely any better with a hot-headed king like Hanuman at the helm and no strong allies in sight. Hanuman retaliates that Akasha is not even the king of the Garudas and is the main culprit of Garuda's comatose state. Seeing Hanuman defiantly refuse, Akasha switches tactics and fixates on Ran instead. She claims she has important knowledge regarding his heart and impending death.

Akasha's speech becomes sinister (resembling zombie speech), and she tells Ran of how even if he were to leave this time point, the heart will remain with the him of this time period. The equipped heart will engulf the young child with all-consuming pain until he has no choice but to gauge out his own heart. Akasha reveals to Ran that he no longer even has his own original heart after someone removed it from him.

Hanuman demands Akasha to stop messing with Ran. It is revealed that everything Akasha said were not spoken out loud, but instead was spoken mentally. Akasha tries goading Hanuman into confessing the truth about Yaksha and what she has truly done. Hanuman orders Akasha to get out. Akasha turns to leave, but as she does so, she encourages Ran to come find her, and even entertains disclosing Maruna's whereabouts should he do so. Hanuman encourages Ran to disregard whatever Akasha may have said to him, and that she will figure out how to unequip the item.

Tatia bring food for Ran and informs him of Hanuman being out for the time being to search for a way to unequip the heart. Since time is of the essence, Ran begs her to let him go. Considering her closeness to Hanuman, Tatia will go relatively unpunished if he escapes. Ran promises the Yaksha he has very good reasons to be let go: He has Kalavinka's collar. When Kalavinka gave her collar to Ran, she asked him to put it back on her as a way to inhibit her uncontrollable, belligerent temper.[4] Tatia has a look of contemplation.

Tatia guides Ran to the Abyss. She comments how she noticed his seemingly good relations with important rakshasas of the Garuda Clan like Maruna and Kalavinka. Ran replies that he cannot explain his connections to them at this point in time, but if she were to get the opportunity to travel Willarv one day and they meet again, maybe at that point he can. Tatia responds that she is doubtful since she does not think she will ever have the strength to visit the land her beloved first king rests in.

At the Garuda Clan Stronghold, Akasha and Samphati are waiting for important news to come, and a person to potentially arrive. Akasha reveals that she is the one that facilitated Maruna and Gandharva's escape to Carte after the Tarakas attacked the Gandharva Clan Stronghold. Samphati asks how that she able to do that. Akasha replies that it was not through her power specifically, but through a supporter who has the ability to open passages between the sura and human realms. The next panel is of Taraka.

Episode 3-257

Season 3 Episode 257: Abyss (16)

Tatia leads Ran through the Abyss while asking where he and Kalavinka likely came from. Ran points to a branching tunnel that leads to the heart of the Abyss where it is populated by strong Tarakas. He repeats Kalavinka's theory of Raltara either ascending the throne of the Tarakas, or that Taraka is helping her.[4] Knowing that the nastikas would decline aiding Kalavinka if they knew she was fighting against Raltara, Tatia chooses to side with Ran as he assists the Garuda. Ran asks Tatia if she too has a strong bond with Kalavinka. Tatia says it is partially that, partially due to Ran who she hints of knowing very well.

Confused, Ran asks if Hanuman talked about him lots before. Tatia replies she has heard of stories she suspects were of him through an older her sister who lived in Willarv long before humans made civilizations there. That sister spoke of a sura resembling Maruna and of an extraordinary human clothed in a long black coat who also happened to use the Pledge Token back then. Tatia specifies that her sister did not give out specific identities, nor is she currently alive to confirm it was Ran she encountered. Tatia just presumes that her extraordinary human, Ran, is the same as her sister's extraordinary human. She then continues that one of the stories her sister told was of the Pledge Token functioning to protect something – such as someone's heart. Tatia tells Ran if that is the case, he should endure the pain as best he can as the pain relief transcendental used on him wears off.[5] She asks then him if he wants to return back to the Stronghold to look for a nastika to help with the pain, but the quarter declines as helping Kalavinka is his number one priority.

As they approach the fight, Tatia reminds Ran they should proceed with caution, but Ran has already sprung ahead. He notices Raltara appearing more human and, after recalling the conditions of how Raltara only materialized through traces of Marut's remains, concludes that the time until she disappears is fast approaching.[4] Working as a duo, Tatia distracts Kalavinka while Ran climbs up on her to put the collar on. In the background, Raltara is begging Ran to stop using "that power." As Kalavinka grows more mad, her fire changes from orange to the stronger pale blue-white fire. Ran struggles against getting vaporized until he eventually collapses.

The voices of zombies return to Ran. Although surprised by his return, they show him mercy and promise to help him unconditionally this one time. When Ran asks who they are, the voices respond that they are the ashes who became the foundation of this land. However, beings have different names for them depending on the situation. Individuals sometimes regard them as mother nature, while other times they are labelled flow, blessing, or disaster, but occasionally they are called vigor. With new found energy, Ran stands up stronger.

Ran skillfully sprints and leaps up through Kalavinka's sura form and successfully collars her, transforming her to her human form. Tatia checks Ran if he is okay. He responds he is "Good as new!" and starts to ask for Raltara. Tatia informs him that she has faded away and disappeared, but not before opening a passage to the human realm for them.

Episode 3-258

Season 3 Episode 258: Abyss (17)

With the passageway to the human realm only temporary, Tatia urges Ran to take Kalavinka and go. Meanwhile, the Yaksha will stay in the sura realm and fabricate an excuse to Hanuman to explain Ran's disappearance. With Raltara being a forgettable figure to nastikas and ancient rakshasas (such as Shess) alike, Tatia explains to Ran that he would not need to worry about Raltara too much. It is only normal 4th and 5th stage rakshasas who can remember Raltara continuously that they need to worry for. But even then, they are an inferior opponent to her. Tatia clarifies she does not know if the same age-equals-forgetting-Raltara concept applies to the gods. Before the passage closes, she admits that it was not only through her sister that she has heard of Ran. Tatia heard stories of Ran from Yaksha who spoke of him with great reverence. She thanks Ran for being the bond that held Yaksha together through a life that has, from the beginning, deprived him of his true companion.

At the ruins of the Temple of Destruction, Kalavinka awakens and spots Ran crying. She tries to comfort him and lighten the mood, but it just irritates Ran even more. He suppresses his misdirected anger and gets up to leave, but the voices of zombies come back to him. They tempt him to let them take over by bringing up his family. They try to draw his anger by reminding him of the gods' failure to protect them, and the terrible fate that befell them in those discarded timelines. The zombies tempt Ran by proclaiming that he needs them to stop those possibilities from coming true.

Kalavinka looks on confused as Ran yells at nothing to be silent. She apologizes for giving him a hard time, and that it has been so long she since she has had a friend that she could actually talk to. Ran asks her to let him have space to organize his thoughts, but something catches Kalavinka's eye and brings it to his attention. They see a portal open, and it is not the one the two went through. Kalavinka flies to the portal to investigate it. Looking through, she sees the Garuda Clan Stronghold with Akasha at its center sporting a smirk that cannot be any good. Shaking with anger, Kalavinka shares with Ran that she suspects someone has crossed over with hostile objectives.

A panel of Samphati and numerous Garuda rakshasas are depicted as they scan over Willarv from above.

Outside Leez's village, Kubera and Leez catch up with Anna and the rest of the villagers. Anna begs Kubera to bring her daughter back to the village, but Leez interrupts to say it is dangerous and filled with monsters, bullies, and a bullied princess. Anna reminds her daughter to never judge base on appearances, and that they are not monsters. Again, Anna begs Kubera to take Leez back to the village. Kubera once again replies no, saying he does not take orders from people outside his summoners. The two adults bicker over who is better: the mother who left her child, or the man who will leave a child with the mother who left them in the first place. Kubera's response about responsibility has Anna realize something, and she pauses. She yells at Leez to get away, claiming that the man is an imposter deceiving people into thinking he is a god with good intentions. In her confusion, Leez grabs hold of Kubera.

Episode 3-259

Season 3 Episode 259: Abyss (18)

In the Garuda Clan Stronghold, Sagara argues with Akasha regarding her allying with Taraka, not once like the snake originally planned, but twice – the first for Maruna and Gandharva, and the second for Samphati and company. Sagara vehemently rejects the idea of Akasha cooperating with Taraka one too many times. Akasha counters how else can she protect Maruna without having to rely on the severely weakened Gandharva. All that Taraka asked in exchange for the passage is vigor. It is revealed that not only was it Samphati and her sisters who entered the human realm, but also Taraka herself. Sagara is in disbelief with how trusting Akasha is with Taraka. Akasha further supports her decision by mentioning her clan's connection with the Tarakas through Yuta. When Sagara brings up how Yuta ate one of Akasha's daughter, Akasha points out that the Anantas, Sagara included, have long been eating Garuda children – her daughters were no exception.[6] Their conversation ends with Sagara alluding to having been betrayed by Taraka before.

As Akasha's daughters soar above Willarv and confer among themselves, it is revealed that other human settlements have been attacked by the Garudas before as part of a bigger plan. But strangely, they observe, some of the villages look intact, suggesting to the birds that their clanmates could not finish their task. They wonder how the five superior sura clanmates left in the planet were thwarted by measly human magicians. Samphati interjects to say that they will interrogate the clanmates in question later, but for now, their main objective is to eliminate the inhabitants of the village "north of the Temple of Destruction".

Within the ruins of the Temple of Destruction, Jibril is with her daughter along with Haas and Kaz. Looking up to the sky leerily, she instructs Haas to make sure they stay put in the crater she brought them to because it is the safest place for them right now. As she walks away leaving the children behind, she begins to stagger and bleed from the mouth. She wills herself to just survive this one night to buy this land an extra ten years of time.

With his end of the bargain done, Kubera leaves Leez behind. Leez tries to reach out for him, but he is already gone. Anna yanks her daughter back, shouting at her to not follow him and questions why he is with her. Leez fights back with tears in her eyes saying that it was Anna who gave her the book to summon the god with the same name as her in the first place. Leez was just trying to "find you, mom..." Anna stares at Leez in dark horror as she remembers the golden words said to her, "Your daughter does not possess the talent to summon. If that child were to summon something, that would be..." Leez continues crying, blaming Kaz for planting the idea of Anna leaving her behind. She begs her mom to confirm that it was just Kaz being a lying, bad kid. Anna pulls her daughter into a hug saying she is sorry as she starts to cry as well. Looking over her mother's shoulder, all Leez can do is stare up in fright as the Garudas start nearing.

Kalavinka and Ran return to where they left Haas, Kaz, and Brilith behind, but find them missing.[7] Ran, hearing their faint voices, points out that they are hiding inside a crater per Jibril's instructions. Kalavinka gives Ran a thumbs up, complimenting him on his good Yaksha hearing. A little irked, Ran emphasizes that he is a human, but Kalavinka ignores it as she voices her approval of Jibril's preparations. Looking to the distance at the incoming Garudas, Kalavinka declares they need to hold their grounds and protect the children as their enemies start showing themselves. Ran is surprised by how willing she is to fight and kill her fellow clanmates and even go against her de-facto leader, Akasha. Kalavinka replies that although she is a Garuda, she does not envision the same future as they do. In fact, due to the time she has spent with the gods and humans, she feels closer to them than to the clan she was born in.

Pondering back to the immense time he has spent with Maruna and the Yaksha clan combined, Ran reflects that he is on the same boat as Kalavinka, but with the details reversed. However, he stops himself from digging deeper into the thought by asserting he is human no matter how much time he may have spent with the suras.

Kalavinka advocates that they should attack the Garudas right now before they get the chance to scatter. Ran is in wonder by how confident Kalavinka is in her abilities if she thinks she can take on all those Garudas by herself and win. Kalavinka responds that it is not just her, but her and him... Unless, that is, he is too chicken to fight.

Zombies invade Ran's mind. They goad him into accepting them in order to acquire the power they possess that would swiftly thwart the advancing suras. With no easily available light source to draw from, the zombies argue that Ran is in no position to reject them.[8] As long as his will and theirs are aligned and he does not reject them, Ran can tap into their power. They clarify that even though they may briefly share common wills, Ran is always in control of his actions, and that they have no bearing in his decision making. As Ran's skills activate, the zombies brief him that the consequences brought on by tapping into their power would be shouldered by him, and only him.

In the white space Maruna was left in to read the time records, it is revealed to him that on the night that Jibril dies, all the rakshasas on Willarv will die as well.[9] Knowing that Kalavinka and Samphati's lives are on the line, Maruna resolves – while the white space cracks – that he must do all he can to stop it from happening.

Episode 3-260

Season 3 Episode 260: Abyss (19)

Cheerleader Kubera returns to Jibril's side as she strains herself while fighting off the Garudas. She asks him what he has been doing and why he still lingers even though Talith is dead and Marut is out of the picture.[7] Realizing he will never answer given his nature, Jibril continues to speak saying that she did not realize just how different Eline's summoning method is from Idha Etu. For this kind of god who hide themselves behind a hood, she did not realize that their work would take priority over their summoner's lifespan. Kubera asks her why she did not summon Agni instead given that she possesses the Staff of Agni and they having met once in her adolescence.

Jibril remembers Agni criticizing her use of silent magic and how it will eventually lead her astray from what it means to be human.

She answers Kubera that Agni would not have liked the path she chose. She then asks him for one last request: If Laila were to choose Eline's summoning method over Idha Etu, that he "please answer her call?" Kubera replies he would have even if Jibril never made such request because Laila is a superior card. He then voices his surprise that her last request is not about her daughter. With her last words, Jibril expresses she "would like [her] daughter... to meet Agni-nim."

Elsewhere, Kalavinka watches in fledging infatuation as Ran fights off the Garudas in a ruthless manner. A Garuda then attacks her, but she swats the bird away with one hand, and readies herself to punch back. However, Samphati arrives and blocks off Kalavinka with a shield. Kalavinka is surprised to find another sura fighting in human form, and deduces it must be the only 5th stage daughter of Akasha, Samphati. Samphati, too, correctly identifies Kalavinka's identity, and comments how easily spottable she is for someone supposedly in hiding. Kalavinka replies that with her location blown, she will need to hide in a different planet, but not before clearing the Garudas out. She smashes through Samphati's shield, prompting Samphati to tell her sister to get behind her. Kalavinka grabs hold of Samphati and taunts her why she has not taken sura form, but the latter just brushes it off commenting on her and her brother's similar personality. The whole scene turns out to be an illusion, and Samphati is further away than what Kalavinka perceived her to be. Samphati aims her transcendental at Kalavinka, but she flies away avoiding them all except one to show off she can take the hits by blocking them with her own transcendental. Samphati infers that Kalavinka is hiding something. Before she can act, Samphati's attention is drawn to one of her sister as she cries for help as Ran mercilessly beats them. She exclaim the absence of Taraka's assistance.

Somewhere else, a hooded figure easily defeats Taraka through a strong invisible weight, or gravitational pull. The hooded figure does concede that this small victory likely came from the king weakening, thus weakening Taraka and the rest of the clan too. The figure asks Taraka what she is doing here with the Garudas instead of looking after the king.

After defeating the last of the Garudas nearby, Ran slaps Kalavinka away from Samphati. He airs his disappointment to find that she is only a 5th stage as the two ready up for the fight. Ran's lightning starts to disintegrate Samphati's face as glowing shards tear through the realm and falls around. Kalavinka watches in disbelief, and the hooded figure observes intently as it all unfolds. A hand grabs Samphati away from Ran, revealing it to be Maruna. He angerly demands what Ran is doing, as the Yaksha stares up expressionless.

Episode 3-261

Season 3 Episode 261: Abyss (20)

Ran throws Maruna's question back at him, asking the Garuda why he too is interfering. Ran concludes that a long time must have passed for Maruna judging by his change in appearance.[9] Maruna replies they need to get going and that he will explain things. He also counters back at Ran that he "should not intervene here anymore" if he wants their future to remain unchanged – the very future the Yaksha went against him for so many years ago.[10] Maruna does acknowledge Ran's frustrations though. After learning what he learned, he too would have changed the past (through the time records, it reveals Akasha killed Vinata), but he will not in order to preserve their future.[9] Ran replies if that is why Maruna brought Raltara "with us because she was in the original history?"[7] Recalling his conversation with Tatia, surely Maruna was one of the rakshasas tasked to fight her.[11] Ran does admit he is doubtful that Maruna knew what Raltara would become back then, but if he did, his actions was an act of cruelty to everyone.[12] He does not understand how Maruna could unleash Raltara on the world, but then turn around and try desperately to save someone negligible. Therefore, Ran concludes that Maruna just wants to selfishly save those close to him, and swiftly rushes him. Kalavinka intercepts Ran and orders Maruna to leave Samphati somewhere before the passage encloses them for good, and to return here. Maruna does what he is told. Ran is humiliated by how foolishly he believed her when she said she would do everything and go up against anyone to protect the world.[13] Kalavinka begs him to calm down, explaining that he has been acting a bit weird. Ran retorts that it is her and her brother who are the weird ones here, and activates his skills.

Far away from the white tear/passage, Maruna debates what he should do with the unconscious Samphati before she gets the chance to wake up and see him. Cheerleader Kubera interrupts to ask him what he is doing here instead of at Carte with Gandharva like he should be. The god recognizes that he is Maruna, but older, therefore must be from the future. With the two Marunas merged, it means Gandharva is alone (which is not good), and orders future Maruna to hurry quickly and leave.[14] Maruna replies he cannot without dropping off Samphati in the sura realm. Since the hooded figure before him is Kubera, Maruna asks if he could open a passage. Kubera is surprised that Maruna recognizes him, but to Maruna, it is obviously the God of Earth since he always appears like that. Maruna sets Samphati down and asks the god to do this one favor before leaving. The Garuda hopes that next time they meet, he can know a little bit more about the mysterious, unpredictable god. Taraka manifests as her human figure nearby, revealing that she has been eavesdropping. She observed that Maruna is still lacking intelligence even at his final development stage, and determines that he would be of no hinderance to her son's path. Kubera tells Taraka that she should be the one to open a passage, but she retorts back why should she when she does not care for Akasha, her daughter, or him killing her as punishment (explaining she would resurrect anyway). Kubera divulges he knows who her has son has been with, and that if she does this one thing, he will reveal where they was last sighted, and how she can chase after them.

Maruna returns to the white tear/passage, grabs hold of Ran and Kalavinka, and hastily flies to the white space before the passage closes. He shields Kalavinka behind him just in case he has to use force to deal with Ran. Ran, now in his adult form, laughs at how formal Kalavinka is around Maruna. He is glad he does not have to use his lifespan to fight now. Kalavinka begs them all to stop - they are all important according to Visnu. Maruna replies that there will be no fight as long as Ran is willing to hold a civil conversation. If not, then they fight. When Kalavinka tries to get in between them again, Maruna replies he gets it: Don't kill Ran, and everything is fine. Ran is relieved that they can finally fight; Maruna for his part is delighted that he can test out his grown powers. Kalavinka is hit by a flash and flung away as she thinks about beating them both up. Ran and Maruna are now in their sura forms ready to square off.

Episode 3-262

Season 3 Episode 262: Abyss (21)

While dodging Ran's hits, in his thoughts, Maruna thinks to himself that things are going like how it should be based on what he read, but "[t]here is something different from what was described in the record." He thinks Ran is weaker than he assumed he would be, how predictable all his attacks are, and this fight is a breeze as long he does not get hit – Maruna gets hit and has his legs torn off right after that thought. Spectating, Kalavinka thinks to herself how her brother only developed physically, but not mentally.

Wanting to conjure out his wings, Maruna tries on two separate occasions to see if he can do just that, but both times he fails and actives two different transcendentals instead. The first is a two-piece, detached shield-like things that he uses to block Ran's attacks. Seeing how they are no use in close-quarter combat, Maruna intends to put distance between him and Ran, and then use transcendentals. Maruna tries again to get out his wings. On this 2nd attempt, Maruna accidentally activates and fires a new transcendental at Kalavinka. Seeing its target, Ran successfully blocks the transcendental before it hits Kalavinka. However, he starts to pass out as Kalavinka yells at her brother to stop.

Zombies surround Ran, encouraging him to finish what they started. Ran replies that they promised him they would not control his actions. The zombies dismiss him saying that although he does slightly oppose them, it only means that he is much more sympathetic to their will, therefore their wills are indeed united. They then pit Ran against Maruna by disputing that the Garuda changed the future by bringing Raltara with them (causing the Cataclysm) and suggesting that the village that was only supposed to be attacked in year N15, was attacked in year N5 as consequence of Maruna's meddling. They finish off by stating that Maruna - who they say used Ran to get the outcome he wanted and only saw him as nothing more than "a lump of meat" – needs to be eliminated.

Ran recalls Yaksha's words of not getting caught up in intense emotions.[15] But it is not a recollection as Yaksha asks him if he is "lost gain?"

Ran regains his composure and defends Maruna from the zombies. He asserts that although Maruna was all of what they stated him to be, he is no longer like that. Maruna has matured, and he displayed it beyond words by showing his growth through his actions. The zombies reject Ran's conclusion and begin overwhelming him by repeating that he will be betrayed, that he kill Maruna, and bringing up his worst fears (dead family).

Maruna yelling out Ran's name brings him back to consciousness. The Garuda explains that the hit was an unintended mistake stemming from trying to take his wings out. Ran says he does not remember much of what happened before he got hit. Seeing Kalavinka acting smitten around Ran, Maruna tells her that he has a family with four children, and seeing them again are what fueled him through the arduous attempts of returning back to their time. Kalavinka is shocked. She replies she knew none of that, and that whatever Maruna is implying is completely wrong. Ran dozing off as he is too tired to be aware of what is going on. Kalavinka then tells her brother to return to his human form, but he embarrassingly replies he does not know how to.

Episode 3-263

Season 3 Episode 263: Abyss (22)

After Maruna gives a summary of what happened to him, Ran paraphrases that the Garuda must have intervened in Year N5 because there was a deviation from the history that he knew, and that the superior suras' truly did attack Willarv. Maruna replies that Ran is correct; Samphati was not destined to die here. He then further clarifies that he had no knowledge of Akasha's actions and that he was not with his clan from Year N5 to N15. When Ran voices his confusion, Maruna confesses that during that timespan, he was hunting Kuberas at Carte, and then Willarv, in help pursuit of Ananta's resurrection.[16]

Ran visibly shakes and starts arguing and yelling at himself . His heart starts aching, and he asks the two to give him a minute to calm himself. He wonders if Akasha was correct when she told him that the Eye of Perishment is no longer in him.[17] Kalavinka grabs hold of his wrist and asks if the pain is starting again. Ran assures her that the pain is much more bearable unlike last time. Maruna interrupts, asking what they are talking about. After a little hesitation, Ran begins explaining his circumstance.

Maruna does not understand how this was possible considering Ran left his Eye of Perishment in one alternative universes. Ran speculates that since that universe was just a possibility, the Eye had to return to him. Knowing that the item is extremely uncommon, Kalavinka digs through her clothes for her Eye, asking him if he could have stolen hers, but finds that it is still with her. She apologizes to Ran. When Maruna asks who she received it from, Kalavinka replies Visnu, and Ran further expands that her Eye could be the Eye that Visnu took from him in the Year D500.[18] The group questions whose Eye is equipping Ran's heart in that case then. Suddenly remembering what Tatia told him, Ran asks if he met any "special human with a black cloak" while he was unconscious.[19] Maruna replies that no one but the Yaksha fits the description. Ran makes note that until he meets Tatia again, he would not be able to figure out that "special human's" identity. Kalavinka then poses the possibility that what Maruna read may not be whole or truthful. Maruna states that the records were fragmented, and tells her that she was barely mentioned. Ran begins tuning them out.

Reflecting on what Kalavinka said, Ran questions if the records Maruna read were the correct ones. To him, everything seems to have gone awry. If the records were faked in order to deceive Maruna to interfere in year N5, would the Year N23 he will return to be the same as the one that he left? Furthermore, he worries of the fate of the young Leez. He thinks to himself, "Maybe I... was the one who ruined Leez' life?"

Back in Leez' village, Kubera removes the corpses of the deceased Garudas, and in place blossoms a field of flowers. Taraka remarks that no matter how many times she bares witness to this transcendental, she is always an in awe. As she enters the portal with the unconscious Samphati, she notes that this skill is "more akin to a God of Creation". She wishes him good luck with the resurrection and wonders what Ananta will say to the god after he is resurrected as her parting words. With his body disappearing due to Jibril's death, Kubera sets out to leave, but something forces him to stay.

Kubera re-materializes as his god form. In front of him is a crying, traumatized young Leez. She sobs, begging the god to return her mom. Everything around them is nothing but a bloodied surrounding.

Episode 3-264

Season 3 Episode 264: Abyss (23)

The following day, Kaz is awakened from his sleep by Haas. He is startled and wonders what happened to Princess-nim. Haas explains that city people came to safely take her away, and that Aunty Anna and everyone else returned to the village last night. Kaz is shaken when he sees everyone going about outside.

Haas points out that he was correct in arguing that if they waited patiently, everyone would return to the village.[20] Leez greets Kaz by showing off all the yummy food. Anna comes by to say just how proud she is of her daughter being so patient in such a scary night. Leez corrects her saying it was not that bad since all she did was play and eat snacks with Haas and Kaz before falling asleep. Confused, Kaz tries slapping himself to awaken himself. Haas tells him to stop and recounts what happened last night, but Kaz insists that that is wrong and points to the demolished wall as proof, only to see that the wall is whole and unblemished.[21] Haas tells him to go home and washup to prepare for the party later.

Thinking to himself, Kaz concludes that this is not reality, but also is not a dream. Instead, the situation "feels more like one [of]..." He begins investigating, but Kubera puts an end to that. Until Leez realizes on her own what this is, the god, in child form, tells Kaz to keep quiet about it. If not, he threatens Kaz that he will not have peace in his life.

Back in White Space, Kalavinka is frustrated with the quiet and tries to get either Maruna or Ran to talk about anything, which neither of them want. Watching his sister getting desperate, Maruna voices his surprise about being able to share all that he shared with her. He wonders if it is because she was with Visnu before or because she also time travelled a bit before. Kalavinka replies that that is not the case. She explains that her and Visnu entered a dimension where "[o]ne day in the human realm equaled 100 years of training there." She guesses she spent the equivalent of 1 year in the human realm there. Kalavinka looks down when she recalls that she is the first and last living rakshasa Visnu took there. Maruna comments Visnu must have had high expectations for her, but Kalavinka argues it is not like that. She presents that his and Ran's development are more extraordinary. The younger Garuda then asks who it was who helped them. He recalls two people helping them, but is not able to recall much other than the last one was able to summon and show records of the past.[9] A passage opens to Konchez in what Ran guesses could be Year N23. Kalavinka is excited to time travel for the first time until she realizes that her brother is too big to fit through. She insists she stay with him while he waits for a bigger passage, but Maruna flings her to the direction of the opening instead. To Ran, Maruna requests he protect his sister even though he does not know if she is meant to survive Year N23. Ran agrees and departs for the passage.

The episode ends with panels of Maruna, Ran, Kaz, Laila (with Chandra's cloak and holding the Eye), and Leez holding the Golden Knight spear in the Year N23.[22]
