Enlightenment is a labyrinthine status or condition that the gods have as they have knowledge and comprehension involving the universe. Furthermore, there is a system available for the enlightened ones around an unknown not quite a location but state, "the top". The system is made to make the enlightened beings able to sympathize with lower beings by a further status of oblivion or selective forgetting some of the knowledge previously achieved. The system is also unrestricted and the users are free to forget anything they want and anytime, so many of the gods, in order to relieve themselves from emotional suffering, abuse the system.^[1][2]

Apparently, nastikas could also arguably reach enlightenment if the qualifications for it are met and are given the extreme long time for it. Menaka was a sole example of an exceptional nastika of virtue that had a probable future of achieving enlightenment, and furthermore, "defeating Kali". However, her trade with Kali to save Gandharva from inevitable fate of being killed by Paradisial Flare unfortunately eliminated that future.^[3]

Proper details regarding the enlightenment and its purposes in the story have yet to be revealed.

The top

The top has been mentioned in the webtoon several times, but so far it is unknown what it is exactly.

• Brahma tells Agni that he can rid himself of his torment over the plight of humans by taking a trip to the top, using a system to be used by the enlightened. He could leave behind all negative feelings and return with only pleasure to help him deal with the monotony of living.^[1]
• In a flashback, a glowing silhouette—presumed to be Visnu, but unconfirmed—tells Chandra that he was the first astika to reach enlightenment, yet he left something very important at the top, and adds that the system was well-intended yet he sees that it was now a mistake.^[2]

Notes

• Astikas seem to have achieved enlightenment after spending time working to reach for it—not by just being born—sometime at the beginning of the universe.
  • Chandra was the first astika that has achieved enlightenment in the current universe.^[2]
